Toddlerhood

I have been in denial that Little is actually a toddler. He is our baby. He still has almost no hair and a big baby gut, so how could he be a toddler? But reality has been hitting hard lately. Really hard - tantrum throwing, no-saying, opinioatedly hard. This baby is not really a baby anymore. He walks, he talks, he plays, he is 100% toddler. Didn't we just do this with Big? Oh yeah that's the whole 17 months apart thing again.

But toddlerhood isn't all bad. Little can understand basic directions (may not follow them, but understands them), he sleeps through the night every night, he feeds himself, he can drink out of a non-sippy cup, he gets around just fine on his own two feet and he has a personality. A lot of personality actually. Where Big is quite and observant, Little is loud and a show stealer. He is far from shy. He wants people to look at him, to notice him, to laugh at him and adore him. He is a show-off and a clown. He is a dare devil and a trouble maker. He likes to bother his big brother just for kicks. He tends to think that he is bigger and tougher than he really is (and has had quite a few bruises as evidence). He lacks any self conciseness. He is wild and goofy and that is exactly why we love him so much.
